Two subcommittees of the American Bar Association’s Business Bankruptcy Committee – Rules and Trading Claims – will host a debate on Friday, October 28, 2016, at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges in San Francisco, California. There will be two supporters on each side of the following controversial topic:
RESOLVED: Trading claims in chapter 11 has created a large, unregulated securities market that should be regulated to protect creditors and debtors.
Following the debate, a straw poll will be taken to determine which side wins. Scott A. Wolfson is the Vice Chair of the Rules Subcommittee.
