On November 11, 2016, Scott A. Wolfson moderated a panel at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Hon. Steven W. Rhodes Consumer Bankruptcy Conference titled, “Depositions in Consumer Bankruptcy Cases.” Wolfson, along with panelists Kelley Callard of the Office of the U.S. Trustee, Hon. Scott W. Dales, Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Michigan, and Howard Sher of Jacob & Weingarten, discussed all aspects of a deposition, including preparations, conduct during the deposition, objections, and uses of depositions at trial. The panel also used several examples to illustrate commonly encountered issues.
