Wolfson Bolton Kochis Secures Dismissal for Client in Complex Cross-Border Commercial Dispute

Wolfson Bolton Kochis PLLC successfully obtained dismissal of a complex commercial case filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama against its client from the United Kingdom. The litigation involved allegations of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and other tort claims alleged to arise from international contracts in the automotive manufacturing sector.

The court enforced mandatory forum-selection clauses and ruled that the case must proceed in Nuremberg, Germany under the doctrine of forum non conveniens. The decision affirms the enforceability of cross-border contractual provisions and underscores the strength of jurisdictional defenses even in multi-party, multi-jurisdiction disputes.

Another strong result for our litigation team in a matter with significant commercial and procedural complexity. Scott Wolfson, Lara Phillip, and Logan Grizzell led the firm’s efforts.
